Our Future Music Research

In partnership with Marusa Levstek at University of Sussex, we continue to research and evidence the impact of engagement in creative activities on well-being with evaluation and analysis of a 5-year inclusive music programme with Southern Music Hub Alliance (Create Music, Kent Music, Surrey Music and West Sussex Music). This programme and Marusa’s research is resulting in the development of a website featuring inclusive resources and tools for managers and practitioners that share learning and best practice.

The website will be made publicly available in summer 2023 and will include information, tools, top tips and practical guides about youth-led inclusive music spaces, inclusive ensembles for children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities, and professional development for people in, or wishing to join the inclusive workforce.
