The Coastal Catalyst Youth Board is calling for fresh voices, innovative ideas, and ambitious young creatives to join an exciting new initiative aimed at improving creative opportunities for young people across the Sussex Coast.
Through a collaboration between Talent Accelerator and Future Creators, Coastal Catalyst is a dynamic project running until May 2026, dedicated to empowering young people from Bexhill & Sidley, Eastbourne, Newhaven, East Brighton, Littlehampton, and Bognor Regis.
The Coastal Catalyst Youth Board will be made up of passionate young people across all of the Coastal Catalyst creative hubs. You’ll have the chance to work together as a team, connecting with like-minded individuals from different parts of Sussex and using your collective creativity to drive meaningful change.
As a member of the Youth Board, you’ll be empowered to:
1. Decide How Funding is Used
Have a say in how the project’s funding is allocated. You’ll work with the team to decide what creative opportunities or resources are most needed in your local area. It’s your chance to shape the creative landscape for other young people across Sussex.
2. Create Ideas & Events
Brainstorm and develop events, initiatives, and projects designed to encourage more young people to get involved in the arts. Whether it’s workshops, exhibitions, performances, or community arts projects, you’ll have the platform to bring your ideas to life.
3.Access Creative Spaces Across Sussex
Get access to creative hubs and spaces all around Sussex, with discounts and opportunities to meet professionals working in museums, galleries, and other creative venues. You'll also have the chance to network with industry experts and gain insights into the creative sectors.
4. Gain Valuable Skills
Enhance your skills in areas such as social media management, event planning, project coordination, networking, and more! Whatever skills you feel are essential, you’ll have the chance to learn and grow through real-world experience.
