Two young people talking at a table
Community Ambassador Programme, Brighton & Hove

We recognise that the workforce of the future could be working in roles that don’t currently exist, using new technology and requiring exceptional innovation. We believe that creative skills are vital life skills, giving young people the ability to:

  • think independently
  • work collaboratively
  • build resilience
  • find solutions
  • overcome challenges
  • learn from experiences
  • communicate better
  • develop discipline

We work with young people to develop key skills for life and work, providing and signposting to opportunities for learning, experience and employment.  We consult with creative industries to understand employment needs and gaps across the sector and to connect educators, creative facilitators and employers in shaping appropriate learning for young people.

We support pathways to employment with accreditation that recognises skills gained in informal learning through Cities of Learning and Digital Badges. Unlike a certificate, a digital badge displays the earning criteria and skills involved in completing an activity, hosted online and giving young people the power, tools, and language to articulate their experiences when seeking opportunities with employers.
